Sociedade Mecânica de Futebol is a narrative-driven NFT project imagining a near-future in which emotionally intelligent robots, designed in the Global North, replace humans in all manual labor in a sunlit city of the Global South. Living in repurposed favelas, they face systemic discrimination yet develop vibrant subcultures away from human eyes — fashion-forward, musical, and sun-powered.

The project’s central arc follows the robots’ decision to claim “mechanical rights” by embracing the city’s greatest passion: football. They form the Mechanical Football Society, the first all-robot team, as a gesture to prove their sentience and reshape human–robot relations.

I was commisioned to create the project’s visual identity, including the city map where the robots live, the football team’s identity—uniforms and crest—and all communication design, shaping a cohesive and immersive visual world for the narrative.
